Architecture for Birds

InstructorJohnny Walker
DescriptionIn this class we will design and build structures for our avian friends. We will develop drafting skills, tool knowledge and experience, and some basic techniques that will allow us to craft quality structures that are both functional and beautiful. We will begin the class designing and building feeders then move into constructing houses. There are many cavity nesting birds in central Texas – bluebirds, chickadees, wrens, woodpeckers, and even owls. We will conclude our class by installing our feeders and houses around the Griffin campus.
