Photography I

InstructorCory Ryan
DescriptionStudents will practice digital photography, learn image and file management, and explore various techniques in digital manipulation. The result will be the creation of digital artworks that will reflect the principals of design, as well as an understanding of digital media techniques. A personal laptop, a digital SLR camera, and Adobe Photoshop Elements or Adobe Photoshop CS5 are required, and a Wacom graphic tablet is optional. While open source graphic software may be substituted, Adobe Photoshop is a professional application, and the course will teach students how to use industry standard software and techniques.
