Description: This semester, advanced fashion students will experiment with creating a personal uniform, tapping into the historical power of collective identity, and playfully pushing against the concept of individuality. Students will choose a jumpsuit, overalls, or other basic silhouette, and will have opportunities to manipulate and personalize the designs. In addition to hands-on building, students will also research, present & critique historical examples of uniform dress. Basic sewing skills are required for this class.
