Amplify Austin 2024 – Reimagining the Front Lawn at Griffin
We are raising funds during Amplify Austin Day (and after) to cover costs to cut down the beautiful red oak tree on the front lawn and build a new stage and pergola structure, creating a whole new vision for the front lawn at Griffin. Annual Fund
Our operational budget is funded primarily by tuition and fees, and we are proud to offer a rate that is the lowest of any comparable school in Austin. We keep our rates at this level by using the Annual Fund to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the full cost of educating each student–this is known as the “tuition gap.”
We count on Annual Fund donations like yours to support investments in many of the things that make Griffin School such a special place: programming in the arts and athletics, professional development for faculty, capital investments in our campus, and scholarships for worthy students with significant financial need.
Dana Willy Scholarship Fund
The Dana Willy Scholarship Fund is named after a beloved student who passed away after a battle with cancer. She found it unjust that there are students who would thrive in a caring, personalized and creative school like Griffin, but cannot afford tuition.
Supporters can direct any amount to this Fund as a one-time gift or a sustaining monthly donation. Many choose to direct their gift to the Dana Willy Scholarship Fund during the Annual Fund appeal. If you are interested in supporting a full scholarship for a deserving student, please email our Development Director, Angé Eaton, at ange@griffinschool.org.
Griffin provides a substantial financial commitment to tuition assistance in order to support a culturally rich, inclusive and diverse school community. Approximately 25% of students receive some form of tuition assistance at Griffin School.
