#1: Open Up the Door, Literally
Ask anyone at Griffin School, and they’ll tell you that the back door of the Commons is the most heavily used passageway on campus AND a growing traffic bottleneck!
That’s why the first focus of this year’s Griffin Giving Day is on a simple, but impactful project: Expanding the back door to the Commons.
By supporting the expansion of this single doorway into a double doorway, you will:

Improve the daily flow of student life;

Create a safer, more accessible exit; and
-
Better connect our campus as it continues to grow
This may sound like a small change, but you will be impacting students hundreds of times a day.

#2: Open Up an Even Bigger Door for Students--the Scholarship Fund!
At Griffin, we believe every student deserves access to a great education. That's why about 25% of students receive tuition assistance each year, including full scholarships for first-generation college-bound students through our partnership with Breakthrough Central Texas.
Supporting this cause doesn't just help families in need--it also makes our school stronger and benefits everyone. That's why our tuition assistance and scholarship program remain a top priority, and why supporting the Dana Willy Scholarship Fund is the second focus of this year's Griffin Giving Day.

The Dana Willy Scholarship Fund is named in honor of Dana, a beloved Griffin student who left a lasting impact before passing away in 2017. Dana believed every student should have the opportunity to thrive in a caring, creative and personalized school like Griffin, no matter their financial situation. Today, we honor Dana's memory by continuing our strong commitment to financial aid, ensuring that more students can experience the supportive and inspiring education that meant so much to her and her family.
