Some students come into high school with a ton of music training and experience; other students have established skills but have never played in an ensemble; and some love music but have never learned to play themselves. There is a point of entry into the music program at all levels at Griffin.
For beginners, we offer individual music lessons in voice, guitar, bass, drums, piano, and other instruments. For those who are ready to collaborate on stage, we form bands at all levels who perform content from a wide variety of musical genres. We offer a foundation in music theory for students who seek to understand the structure that is integral to music-making. And we provide a robust set of courses and performance opportunities for musicians who want to pursue music education at the college level or play professionally.
Griffin House Band
House Band is our top-level music ensemble with our most skills and experienced musicians. It's a band of all-stars. Oh yes, they can jam. Check out a few House Band performances on our YouTube channel.
Rock Band
