Social & Emotional Learning
Learning Through Interaction
We believe kids learn from each other. Through interactions inside and outside the classroom, through community events, in our mentoring program, on sports teams and class trips - every experience at Griffin school has opportunities for social and emotional growth. We do a lot to make these experiences as meaningful as possible for our students.
Enriched Student Pathways
Our SEL Director brings a wealth of expertise and a depth of intention to these experiences. She enhances our programming so students have robust opportunities to stretch themselves, to reflect, and to work through their adolescent years with as much support as possible.
Cultivating Compassionate Minds
Every member of our faculty and staff, from our classroom teachers to the Head of School to our maintenance staff - we know that our job is to support our students in becoming healthy, grounded, thoughtful, compassionate, curious human beings. Our universal commitment to helping our students navigate the growth and change they are experiencing in their high school years is central to the school culture at Griffin.
