As a prospective student and family, the best place to learn more about Griffin School and start an application is at an Open House. Our 2018-19 Open House events are scheduled for Thursday, September 20, 5:30-7pm, Thursday, October 18, 5:30-7pm and Thursday, January 17, 2019, 5:30-7pm. If you’d like to attend one of those dates, let us know at admissions@griffinschool.org. We also offer group tours each Thursday morning at 9am. RSVP here and let us know which Thursday works for you. If you’d like to set up an individual meeting with our Admissions Director to check out the school further and get a sense whether our philosophy, programs, and environment look like a good fit for your student, give us a call at 512-454-5797.

Five Easy Steps:

  1. Complete our online application.
  2. Submit a current transcript and any other relevant academic assessments or evaluations that you have.
  3. Pay the $50 application fee.
  4. Schedule a shadow day for your son or daughter to attend a day of classes hosted by one of our current students, and have lunch with members of our Admissions Committee.
  5. Register for your student to take the ISEE test or arrange an academic assessment at Griffin School (rsvp for Sun, Dec. 9th at 9am or Sat, Dec. 15th at 9am, admissions@griffinschool.org). We accept either test. We will offer the ISEE at Griffin School on Saturday, December 1, 2018.

This might sound like a lot, but it is really a pretty straight-forward and simple process that can be completed in a day or two if needed. Just give us a call and our Admissions Director will walk you through the application process.

For 2019-20 applicants, our priority decision deadline is December 19, 2018.  Decision letters will be mailed in late January, 2019. Our deadline for financial aid applications is March 9th, 2019.  We are currently scheduling shadow days for prospective students on Tuesdays, from late-September through mid-May.  Contact our Admissions Director to schedule a tour, shadow day or set up a time to meet: admissions@griffinschool.org.

We make every attempt to help families work through the financial barriers that often arise when considering private school tuition expenses. Let us work with you on the financing options that are available. Various tuition payment plans and low-interest tuition loans are offered. In addition, families with financial need may apply for tuition assistance in the spring for the following school year. For specific information about current tuition rates, payment schedules, loan programs, and tuition assistance, download a 2018-19 tuition form here.
