APPLICATION PROCESS

As a prospective student and family, the best place to learn more about Griffin School is at an Open House. Our Fall Open Houses are scheduled for October 17, and November 14. All times are 5:30-7pm. Please RSVP to admissions@griffinschool.org. Parents, students, and siblings are welcome at our Open Houses. We offer group tours each Thursday morning at 9am and give tours on other days by appointment. If you’d like to set up an individual meeting with our Admissions Director to check out the school further and get a sense whether our philosophy, programs, and environment look like a good fit for your student, give us a call at 512-454-5797 or email admissions@griffinschool.org. If you want to receive a packet of info or join our mailing list, fill out an inquiry here!

Five Easy Steps:

  1. Complete our online application.
  2. Submit a current transcript and any other relevant academic assessments or evaluations that you have.
  3. Pay the $50 application fee.
  4. Schedule a shadow day for your son or daughter to attend a day of classes hosted by one of our current students, and have lunch with members of our Admissions Committee.
  5. Register for your student to take the ISEE test which is offered at many schools around town and at Griffin School on Saturday, December 14 at 8:30am, or arrange to take an academic assessment at Griffin School (offered on November 16th, 2019 at 9am or December 15, 2019 at 9am). We accept either test.

This might sound like a lot, but it is really a pretty straight-forward and simple process that can be completed in a day or two if needed. Just give us a call and our Admissions Director will walk you through the application process.

Deadlines
For 2020-21 applicants, our priority application deadline is December 20, 2019. Our deadline for financial aid applications is March 10th, 2020.  We are currently scheduling shadow days for prospective students on Tuesdays.  Contact our Admissions Director to schedule a tour, shadow day or set up a time to meet: admissions@griffinschool.org.

Tuition
We make every attempt to help families work through the financial barriers that often arise when considering private school tuition expenses. Let us work with you on the financing options that are available. Various tuition payment plans and low-interest tuition loans are offered. In addition, families with financial need may apply for tuition assistance in the spring for the following school year. For specific information about current tuition rates, payment schedules, loan programs, and tuition assistance, download a 2019-20 tuition form here.

International Students
Griffin School welcomes international student applicants who would like to study in the United States! We are approved to provide I-20 student visas to international students once they have completed the application process and are accepted.
