1996-2026: Thirty Years of Griffin School
A week ago, we gathered for the first of three special receptions in honor of our 30th year. This one focused on "Griffin Founders and Founding Values, Our Early Years." It was a wonderful reunion and a chance for students and families from across the decades to connect. Go to our 30th Anniversary Reception Flickr Album to see the gallery of images from the gathering.
At the event, I shared our origin story and my perspectives on how our community has grown and evolved over the past three decades - view the video of my speech here.
30 years ago, we dreamed about a school that treated young people as full partners in their own education; it was a dream that was built on hope and optimism. Everything that makes Griffin School magical exists because a lot of people - many of them attending the event - invested themselves in building something meaningful together. These anniversary receptions are a rare chance to reconnect - with old friends, with new people, and with the school that brought us together.
Thanks to everyone who attended the event last week and were there to feel the connection with each other and with the school that brought us together! Thanks for staying engaged and continuing to contribute to the school's culture and spirit and for helping Griffin School grow, evolve, and live our mission more fully in the years ahead!
